After a six week sabbatical Touring Sport Ducshop Ducati heads to Mid-Ohio for the fifth round of the MotoGT endurance championship with two bikes, four riders and a 19 point championship advantage. Frank Shockley and Ryan Elleby will team up again on the number 77 Ducati PS1000LE. The duo were triumphant at the last round at Road America, winning both race and championship class. The team will also field their second bike, the number 38 PS1000LE, with former Red Bull rookie rider's Huntley Nash and Corey Rech.

Calabogie, Ontario. NCR-Ducati Team completed the first round of the Canadian Thunder Championship with an impressive first and second place finish on the new Ducati 848. The Thunder Championship is a very competitive class which includes the New Buell 1125R, the KTM Super Duke R 990 and the new BMW HP2 Sport. The Ducati has a significant displacement disadvantage but yet is able to show the refined package that it is, start out of the box. Factory riders Valter Bartolini from Imola, Italy and Andrew Nelson from Kars, Ontario spent valuable time to set-up the razor sharp handling to the new flowing and demanding Calabogie Circuit in Ontario, Canada.

More than 30,000 fans packed into the famous Piazza Maggiore square in the centre of Bologna yesterday (Sunday) for a spectacular event organised by the city and provincial authorities, together with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, to celebrate Ducati's fantastic World MotoGP title victory. The event was the climax of a series of initiatives involving the company and the city, which began on Saturday morning. Ducati fans and enthusiasts came from all over Italy and abroad to visit the factory and the museum, which were open to the public all weekend, while groups of motorcyclists peacefully invaded the city centre. The No. 77 Touring Sport Ducati, Ducati Supersport 1000DS of two-time World Superbike champion Doug Polen (Camarillo, California), Peter Friedland (Columbia, South Carolina) and Frank Shockley (Greenville, South Carolina) survived a broken clutch with 20 minutes to go to win the BMW GrandSport Twins (GST) class and beat out the No. 8 Richie Morris Racing Buell squad to the Team title, 188-183. Shockley also took the Rider points title.
